August 16 is almost here. This EPL season by far the most open season of them all so far? Not really. After what Chelsea came close to getting done with a heap of players on the treatment table last season, this season would be totally different. Two quality signings and an amazing pre-season has passed. Lampard’s staying and so is Drogba. Probably why the pre- season expectations put Chelsea in such a position.

Manchester United 3rd for lacking in big money signings. Liverpool 2nd is still a joke. Arsenal again should be ranked a little lower I feel but somehow they manage to surprise everyone. But Chelsea more than deserve their first place. They’ve had the best pre- season so far among all teams. The next ranking should have probably started from 21 because I really don’t think anyone is even gonna come close to Chelsea come Winter.
