The announcement for this post was made much earlier but interrupted by the unexpected arrival of that mail from my dad. So, apologizing for the delay and diving right into the post….
FOOD. This is not the post that calls it a sustenance or some other bullshit, but more about two wonderful movies that made me really hungry while watching it.
- Ratatouille.

Thats not a typo.. Its all about RATATOUILLE.
Movies have never had such an effect on me. Ratatouille especially, got me really hungry. It all starts with the scene Remy and his bro find the mushroom and cook it with lightening. Did u notice how delicious the mushroom look after that??
That mushroom, probably a tandoori mushroom in India, looks awesome. Agree? My diet chart was chucked out the window when i saw that. Then comes the creme soup scene. That’s where I really had to pause the movie and run down for some packets of chips and pepsi. Every time he adds a new ingredient I just had to really hold myself back from picking up the phone and ordering few pizzas. The look of the soup..(mouth watering!!) and I could almost smell it off my screen.

The story continues in the expected way all along with the mouse becoming a chef and blah blah blah. Until it comes to the very end where I really did move the phone over and call for some pizzas. The part where he cooks the ratatouille, actually the part where he takes it off the oven and adds some toppings, man i couldn’t control my appetite. I waited for my pizzas to arrive before i continued watching this. It might sound girl y.. but it really was yummm(not the pizzas, the ratatouille). This is how ratatouille is supposed to look like. The movie one was really close enough.

Anyways this post has brought back almost everything I felt while watching the movie. Yes, I am talking about the hunger. I pity the judges at the Oscars and other film awards, wonder how many of them lost their shape cause of the eating frenzy this movie creates. I have read few blogs that completely agree with me on this, and commend the movie producers on their excellent job.
