Almost everyone I know wished me on my achievement.. (if you don’t know what I’m talking about.. Khata meetha). And as always, there was only one person who could do that better than anyone else. Do you even have to ask who after my post title?? It was my DAD.
When I told him of my result he seemed excited like everyone else. But when he’s in Mumbai and me in Chennai the excitement kind of wears off. So after the conversation, it didn’t feel much different from what others told me all evening. Of course a dad’s compliment is special, so was the compliment of every other dad in the world. What did my dad do differently??
Last evening after i put up my post here and moved on to check my mail, I found this mail from my dad.
Dear Vicks

Vicks- Short for Vignesh, that’s what my family calls me.
Ok, I never expected it. But reading this mail made me think how many other dads would have actually done this?? Not many i guessed. What more? the mail had a special mention of my mum too, for helping me through my exams. So he somehow understood that his excitement never carried to me and did this to cheer me up. My weird but wonderful dad! !!
